wind direction adjustment with Davis VP2 pro

Post by Barry Horton » Mon May 03, 2021 5:13 pm

Hello.

Just recently a slight wind direction error has been noted. Unfortunately this happened in August 2011 but was not noticed then. The current position of the anemometer is roof mounted and the support for it has been buried beneath insulation cladding so would be a major issues getting it down and re-calibrating it.

I have noticed in the Davis Weatherlink software v6.0.3 under setup there is a wind offset that can be made. Does anybody knows how this works and how the implications of any adjustment I make will impact on the data historically.

Any advice or comments will be welcome thank you
