February Sunshine

Passed 100 hours of sunshine today putting this February in the sunny(ish) category. My sunniest February was in 2008 with 130 hours.
Unbroken sunshine all day with today's total exceeding 10 hours for the first time since the 3rd October, though several days have come close over the last week.
With just a very light breeze and a maximum of 7.3C, it was a lovely day and quite pleasant to be sat outside in the warm sunshine. The sun's elevation now above 30°.
Still, the monthly average temperature is below normal and likely to fall further. This month now holds the record for the greatest number of air frosts in February (12 so far), and the largest number since December 2010 (though none of the frosts have been severe).
1st - 24th
Mean minimum = 1.1C
Mean maximum = 9.2C
Mean = 5.2C
Rain = 37.6 mm
Sunshine = 106 hours.
