Yes, very pale and pasty-faced here too!

Though sunshine levels improved somewhat over the last week of December the month still ended up below average with 58.1 hours though it could have been much worse - like November which recorded my lowest ever sunshine hours with just 49.1.

And to think that November & December 2014 recorded 100.2 and 103.5 hours.

My December figures are as below.
The anomalies are with respect to 2001-2015 averages.

Mean max temp 12.8°C (+3.1 degC)
Mean min temp 9.7°C (+5.1 degC)
Mean temp 11.2°C (+4.1 degC)

The title of this thread has ended up a bit of an understatement.
'Exceptionally warm December' might have been more appropriate.

Rainfall though was pretty average at 132.5 mm (119%)

No long term records here for me in Llanfairfechan as regards temperature because this is only my 5th year, but even if there where they wouldn't have stood a chance with this month just gone!

Mean Max 13.3C
Mean Min 7.6C
Mean 10.5C

So the difference here to farther south is the occasional/more frequent incursion of colder air (but no ground or air frost).

There were 6 days with a max of at least 16C

7th 17.5C
16th 17.4C
18th 16.8C
27th 16.9C
28th 16.5C
29th 16.0C

of these only the one, on the 7th, was during proper daylight at 1340 (but although that was a very rare sunny day almost no sunshine falls on the screen here through December).

There were no really high 09-09 mins, but there were 2 very high 21-09 mins
182100-190900 15.2C
272100-280900 15.0C

Rainfall a whole new chapter, as total was 428.9mm
Highest 24 hour 250900-260900 82.8mm and the event of 36 hours to 262100 was 114.4mm.

Hope I can get all that's important in the summary.

David, I see your föhn is at work again. 6 days over 16°C! I never got even one day.

And that rainfall!

Here in the Otter Valley, the December 2015 stats ended up as:
Mean maximum = 13.5°C
Mean minumum = 9.2°C
Mean = 11.4°C
Rain = 87.7 mm
Sun = 58.1 hours.

There were no air frosts and only 1 grass frost.
