Hello All,
Well it looks like a respite for a while as regards high temperatures and so I thought it would be time to summarise.
Here in Llanfairfechan there has been 5 days with a max above 15C. These are:
7th …..17.5C
15th … 15.3C
16th … 17.4C
18th … 16.8C
19th … 15.6C
The 17.5C on the 7th beats the previous UK day high of 16.1C
The 17.4C on the 16th beats the previous UK day high of 17.0C
Obviously many other parts of the UK beat the day high today of just 15.5C and it would be good to hear of some.
Here in the Llanfairfechan area there are some other none COL stations that have produced slightly higher figures than me, 17.7C on the 7th and 17.9C on the 16th, but a station at Dwygyfylchi about 5 miles east of here had 18.2C last night just before the rain around 4am. This would be a Welsh record and 0.1C off the UK record.
Last night's min was high too here with the 2100-0900 min 15.2C.
So far mean temperature is 10.7C (Max 13.4C, Min 8.1C).
