We caught a heavy snow shower for 30 mins here at 1830 UTC.
It gave a proper covering on the frozen surfaces.
The first time this has happened since 2010.
Snowfall settling on the south Devon coast is a bit of a rarity.
All looking very pretty.

It was a wet Christmas /New Year period, 81 mm in last 6 days of Dec.

Yesterday it passes 100 mm total for the month. Not unusual for December here. Average since 1985 is 111 mm. But the last few days to New Year are forecast to be very wet so the total is going to be well above average. Such a contrast to last December when we only had 35 mm. Max of 277 mm in 2012! W...

Not quite as dry or warm here, but still warm and dry compared with average.
Had a max of 18.7°C here on 16th which is remarkable for mid October.
Ex-Hurricane Ophelia was responsible.
